## 2026-07-01 · Self-hosted SearXNG proxy + Extract service deployed

- Docker NOT available on VPS → used custom Python proxy
- SearXNG official image (in k3s) failed to start (port parsing bug)
- Public SearXNG instances all rate-limited / 403
- Built 2-service replacement:
  - **Port 8888 (search):** Brave API + DDG fallback, returns SearXNG JSON format
  - **Port 8889 (extract):** chromium --dump-dom for content extraction

**Tested:**
- web_search_tool: ✅ Returns search results (3 results, real URLs)
- web_extract_tool: ✅ Returns 32K chars from CoinGecko page (via chromium)
- Hermes web_tools CLI: ✅ "Web backend: searxng"
- Both services on ports 8888/8889, registered for auto-restart

## 2026-07-01 · Calendar discrepancy investigation (Teams vs Outlook)

**What happened:**
- Sir noticed Teams screenshot (8:00, 8:30, 9:00, 9:30, 11:00 MYT) didn't match Google Calendar
- Initial hypothesis: Outlook sync issue. Investigation proved wrong.

**Investigation steps:**
1. Queried all 5 calendars visible to myagentbotz@gmail.com token
2. Found 2 Toyota shared calendars + sir's personal + holidays
3. Got Jul 2 events from both Toyota calendars
4. Discovered the timezone display bug (API returns UTC)
5. Discovered the real discrepancy after proper MYT conversion

**Three issues identified:**
1. SAP Asakai vs BRP ASAKAI are SWAPPED in Teams vs Calendar
2. 5 events missing from Teams: MPM, Daily Turnover, KPI GAP, Yuichi, H/W Follow Up
3. Some events may be in different calendars that Teams isn't synced with

**Recommended actions for sir:**
- Check Outlook → "Add Calendar" → make sure both Toyota shared calendars are added
- Verify 38tfi5... and kjel6... calendars are both in Outlook
- If sync broken, contact Toyota IT
